Rubanga Cooperative Society Ltd is owned and managed by farmers and currently has 20,578 members organized into 421 farmer groups. Its headquarters are located in Mitooma District. The cooperative collaborates with 13 affiliated cooperatives in western Uganda. Among its members, 48% are female, 52% are male, and 32% are youth. Founded in 1986 by visionary leaders dedicated to community transformation and improving livelihoods, Rubanga is triple-certified with Fairtrade, Rainforest, and Organic certifications. These certifications enable members to receive premiums and better market prices beyond the prevailing market rates.
Our coffee is grown at an altitude of 1600m above sea level. This altitude gives our natural coffees a unique taste.
Arabica coffee is characterized by rich fruit notes and a subtle cereal undertone, culminating in a warming, spicy finish. It boasts an exceptionally smooth mouthfeel and a long, pleasant aftertaste that lingers with refined clarity.
On the other hand, the Robusta profile features deep nutty and cocoa nuances, with layers of toasted peanut and sweet corn complemented by a backbone of caramel and tea leaf, resulting in a high level of sweetness.
